Jessica lives in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with her family. She has four kids and five furbabies, which means life is always hectic fun. She grew up living all over the United States, and even lived in Germany for a few years. As an adult she has maintained her nomadic existence, including going back to Germany for a few more years, though she has seemingly settled down in South Carolina. She has a collection of collegiate education, including a Bachelor's in Human Services Management and an Associates in Paraprofessional education, with many years of other specialties she didn't degree in. (She thanks her ADHD) She completed course work in Social Work, Medicine, and Psychology. She loved her job as a Medic in the Army most of all, but it left her disabled after an incident while training.
Jessica has always had a passion for literature and writing. She has always been an avid reader, and her favorite childhood books included Old Yeller and Little Women. In Middle School she loved Charles Dickens and Danielle Steel, though they were probably a bit old for her. In adulthood she moved on to HP, Laurel K Hamilton, and has recently found immense joy in books by SJ Stewart, Ken Bebelle and Julia Bee, Dartanyan Johnson, Britton Brinkley, Natalia Hernandez, LM Juniper, and so so many others. She first dreamed of writing a novel as a
child, when she created her first children's book at her plastic picnic set in a little house in Kentucky. She turned to angsty poetry as a preteen in Germany and then overly dramatic love letters in High School in Georgia. The occasional short story would meander its way onto the page when she should have been busy doing other things, and eventually life took over. She began writing again in 2017 when Florida heat kept her locked inside, and hasn't looked back since. She is now a full-time Author and is dedicated to creating beautiful worlds for people to lose themselves in for a while.
When she isn't writing, she can be found with her kids or in her garden where she is learning to grow food. She also loves to hang out with her family and watch fantasy movies during themed movie days- snacks and decor included. If she has a spare moment you can usually find her with books and coffee, preferably a romantasy, lounging in her most comfortable sweats.
